Bio

I grew up on the central coast of California, terrorizing my small town with childhood mischief fueled by a seemingly unending supply of chaotic energy. My mother ordered me to play the piano and I resisted like my very life depended on it. I liked sports and video games. I wanted to be a fireman or an astronaut, or an astronaut that lit things on fire, I could never decide. I wanted to draw cartoon faces and be awkward around girls. Mission accomplished.

When I was 18 I decided I wanted to learn to play the guitar. I bought a cheap Cort electric and started making noise. I was awful but I couldn't stop playing. I became that guy that brings his guitar to the party. It's embarrassing to think about but all that enthusiasm, tempered now by a bit of experience, has brought me here, sharing these songs with you all and making music that I am proud of.

I've been to four colleges so far and one day I'll probably make it five. I spent a few years as a medic in the Army looking for something different and found that all I needed was what I already had. I'm 28 and think squirrels are hilarious. I'm still thinking about being an astronaut. We'll see how this music gig pans out.
