8:23:2010 - stephencovell.net is back! Sorry for the break in service. I've deleted some dead links and updated a few things through out the page so snoop around. Party.

1:07:08 - I put some pictures up from the show last week on facebook.com and some videos up on youtube.com Come join the cult and look at them.
2:24:07 - New tracks are being mastered for the upcoming release. I'm also looking forsomeone to help revamp the look of this website. If you're interested email me: stephencovell@gmail.com
12:17:06 - I've put a track off the new album for sale up in the store, let me know how the service works. Also I've found out that there are some videos of my on www.youtube.com just type in my name and enjoy the dumbassness.
5:25:06 - The album is nearing completion and it's really turning out fabulous. I've fixed some of the tabs that were incorrect and updated my journal, but it's never enough for you people is it?!?! (sobs uncontrollably)
4:12:06 - Uh... where does the time go? Ok, so that last update was kind of an over-optimistic pump fake on the whole album issue but rest assured it's on its way and I've got even more new songs as well as some good picks from prior unreleased fare to choose from.
Check out the Media section and watch a homemade movie from my last show in Tucson. If you had any doubts in my ability to look completely rediculous, they should now be erased.
1:31:06 - The new album is about to be recorded and should be at least 400404033 times cooler than the last one. Not to say the last one wasn't cool... but you get the idea. Prepair your ears.
12:12:05 - Recently I learned that one of my street team leaders was killed in a car crash last month. He was a easily one of my biggest fans and supporters and if you'd like to know more about Nate Peeler click on his picture to read about the impact he had in the 16 years we were lucky enough to have him.
12:9:05 - I love
flattery
11:11:05 - I was the runner up on KGO 810's "Best music you've never heard" contest yesterday. Out of the hundred of unsigned bands that sent in submissions, I was one of 20 picked and Bottled Rockets got second place in a vote by the listeners. Thanks everyone who listened and voted.
10:12:05 - I'm not dead, don't worry, I Have new songs for your listening pleasure that should be recorded and available on www.purevolume.com/stephencovell In the mean time, there are two new ones already posted. Tabs are still coming, as you all know I hate doing them but they will be finished eventually, so hold tight and while you wait, try doing it by ear, it's a fun challenge, that's how I learned "Mr. Jones" last night.
9:1:05 - Now I won't claim to be the most socially conscious person but if you get a chance you should go and donate blood as soon as possible to help those affected by hurricane Katrina. Portions of my CD sales will be going to a disaster reliefe fund as well.
8:29:05 - A month gone by? How the summertime flys, but good things have been happening since our last update. Shirts and stickers are almost here, I have shows set up all over California and I'm setting up a weekly show in Monterey so you all can have your fix.
7:30:05 - Covell is up on itunes! Yeah that's right spreading the love over yet another online source. So for all your friends that liked a certain song but didn't want the whole CD and still want to support me. Here's their chance.
Also check out the journal section for pictures from the Thursdays show in Soquel.
7:18:05 - Some new tab's up today, sorry I'm slacking on those but for god's sake they take forever and it bores me. But they will all be up soon enough. Also in the covers section we have two new additions by Martin Earley. Thanks dude.
7:15:05 - If you're interested in the right to do whatever the fuck you want with your music movement here's a couple sites to check out:
Downhillbattle.org and
HYMN.
Downhillbattle is a site deticated to bringing information about how the music industry works, and usually works against musicians. Ever wonder how much of each CD an arist makes off itunes? Then check it out. HYMN is a program that converts the locked mp4a's that you get from itunes and turns them into mp3's that you can do with what ever you please.
7:06:05 - New journals are up as well as a new section of the forums. "Perfect Parade" will be up on
itunes within the next couple months and the muzack just went over 100,000 plays on
purevolume.com.
6:21:05 - A covers section is being added to the music section. If any of you have a
Covell Cover you want to share, email Stephen.
For locals to the Monterey area, you can pick up my CD at
Recyled Records located at 604 Lighthouse Ave. in Monterey. (831) 375-5454
6:19:05 - We are semi-officially-but-only-kinda-up and running!
...and no, I have no affiliation to stephencovell.com, personally I think it's a attrocity that my name be connected with it.
When I first saw it I was like:

But now I'm cool with it... because I'm going to make one hundred billion dollars and buy the rights to the domain name and then burn it. Burn it to the ground. Like the horribly color schemed Rome that it is.
